New Handiworks in the Shop

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2019! I'm so excited for the new year and I'm looking forward to all the new handiworks coming to the shop. This week I released 2 new signs to the shop, a custom made to order wedding / anniversary sign and an A+ Teacher sign. I also added more kits to my popular Snowflake ornament cross stitch kit.
Carving custom sign on the X Carve!

My first release this week was the custom wedding / anniversary sign. When I designed this sign I thought of initials carved in a tree. I wanted simple initials with just a heart and a date that is important to the couple. I love how the sign turned out and I think it would make a great gift or even a prop in a save the date photo. I used my husbands and I wedding date for the prototype and it sits in my studio. Each sign is a custom order that will take about 3 to 4 days.

Carving the A+ Teacher sign
My second release was the A+ Teacher sign. Teachers are awesome and come in many forms from school teachers to mentors and all of them should be celebrated. I made this sign for my grandson's teacher for Christmas. All teachers should get an A+ and an apple to go with it. I love how this sign looks on the maple plywood. The wood is so soft and the red apple really pops.

I have really enjoyed creating and making signs. I'm leaning toward expanding my woodworking skills with signs, and cross stitching being more of something I enjoy in my free time. I'll be keeping my most popular patterns and kits and I may add a new pattern or kit here and there, but for now I feel my journey is taking a new skill path. I'm very excited for the ideas that will be coming to the shop. You can find my custom sign HERE and my A+ Teacher sign HERE.

I'm always thinking and creating new ideas for signs, if there is something you would like to see leave a comment and I'll see what I can do. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! (Snow is expected here!)

Happy Stitching!
~ Jennifer
