Hi! My name is Jennifer and I thought I would take a moment and introduce myself, I’m the stitcher, designer and owner of Milly Bean Handiworks. I began Milly Bean Handiworks as Milly Bean Stitching about 2 and a half years ago. I changed to Handiworks because I didn’t want to be limited to stitching. I wanted to make different types of handmade crafts and I wanted a name that would cover anything and everything.

While Milly Bean Handiworks is a passion and dream come true for me, I’m also a wife, Mom and Meemaw. My husband and I are high school sweet hearts and have been together since we were 16. He is the advice giver and listener to my crazy ideas. I have 3 children, 2 of them adults and 1 teenager. I also have 2 grandchildren, 4 and 6. Our house is always busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I started Milly Bean Handiworks because of my love of cross stitch and I wanted something that was mine now that my kids are grown up. I wanted something that I could create and be in every process from designing to finished product. I’ve done a lot of different crafts over the years, but cross stitch is something I always come back to. I’ve always wanted to create my own patterns. So, I figured why not, and Milly Bean Handiworks was born.

I’m looking forward to growing Milly Bean Handiworks into more then cross stitch. I’ve recently been learning a new skill, woodworking. I’m learning how to carve signs with a CNC Router the X Carve. I have 2 new signs in the shop and I'm excited for the ideas I have for more.

I’m very excited to share my journey through my blog. I hope you will follow along and see a little bit into Milly Bean Handiworks. If there is anything you would like to know or for me to blog about, please leave me a comment and let me know. I’m excited for this next chapter in growing my business and I hope you enjoying following my crafty adventure!

Happy Stitching!
