A Few New Signs in the Shop

Hello!

It's finally fall! 🍂 I'm so excited for the cooler weather and the fall colors. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the oranges and yellows.

I have several new signs in the shop since my last post. I've been working on wood stain and I love it. It's so fun to make wood a different color and watch the grain pop with the stain. I have 2 new stained signs in the shop, Gather and Livin' the Dream. Both of these signs are stained with a walnut color. For the Gather sign, I carved the word Gather and the leaves into the wood after I stained it leaving the carve the natural wood with just a finish over it. For Livin' the Dream I carved the lettering and then painted the letters white. I love how both these signs came out. I think they would look wonderful as wall décor or freestanding on a shelf or side table.

I also like to leave the wood natural when making signs. I love how different colors look on natural grain. Three of my new signs I left the wood natural and just put a finish over it, Bee KindLet's Drink and Never Stop Dreaming.

Bee Kind is a small free standing sign.
The little bee is adorable and I love the embroidered trail coming from the bee. I know I always say this but this sign was fun to make too. I think it would look wonderful on a shelf.

Let's Drink is a fun sign perfect for an at home bar. I love the red wine on one side of the sign and the beer being poured on the other. Let's Drink would look fabulous on a shelf behind the bar.

My latest new sign is Never Stop Dreaming. The navy blue coloring of the lettering reminds me of the night sky when it's not black yet, it has that tint of dark blue. The white moon and the embroidered bright yellow start finish off this sign.🌙🌟

That's what I've been up to the last few months. Working on new signs and coming up with ideas for 2021. I have a few other things I'll share from the shop in another post including a home décor sign kit. If you are looking for a Halloween DIY craft I have Halloween cross stitch patterns in the shop! I hope everyone has a fantastic week and if you would like to see what I'm up to more frequently you can follow me on Instagram at @Millybeanhandiworks .
