Hello!
I can't believe the first day of September is less then a week away! I've spent the last 2 months spending time with my Grand Kids. They went back to school 2 weeks ago, but we have been learning new routines and making changes around the house. I thought with all the fresh new things going on with my family I would take this opportunity to reintroduce myself and give you an update on Milly Bean Handiworks. So here are a few fun facts about me!
* Hi! I'm Jennifer and my wonderful husband Jason and I are high school sweet hearts. We've been married for 24 years. We have 2 adult kids, 1 teenager about to be an adult and 2 grand kids.
*I have always loved to cross stitch. I've stitched on and off throughout the years and have always wanted to make my own patterns. A few years ago I decided to open my own Etsy shop and sell patterns. Since then I've grown to wood signs as well as cross stitch patterns and kits.
* I am new to woodworking. I wanted a new canvas for cross stitching and thought wood would be fun. I bought an X Carve to make holes for stitching in wood and came up with making signs.
*I love woodworking and want to learn tons of stuff. I have a list of things I want to learn to make!
*My husband and I play video games most Saturday nights as a "date Night". He plays Madden, MLB and wrestling while I love Assassin's Creed.
*My current fav TV show is Longmire!
*I love to read and watch movies!
*I love the smell of wood. When I first walk into my workshop the smell of wood just hits me and I think, "Yea, I love being in here!"
These are just a few things I thought would be fun to know about me. I'm looking forward to spending more time in the workshop and sharing my adventures with you. With my kids almost grown and both my grand kids finally in school, I'm able to spend more time following my dreams. Right now I'm working on Halloween ideas and things for Fall. I can't wait to show you all my ideas. I'll be posting soon! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
